Read More I think if you have less than a 3-digit IQ and listen to Howard Stern everyday for his entire show, you'll probably like this unfunny boring piece of filth and reflection of abnormal, offensive human behavior. Just typical that Hollywood would nominate it for an Oscar....Marsden for best actress? Each character is like someone you could meet on the street, flawed but likeable. Likewise, the attention to detail in filming is to be commended. Every scene feels like one could just step right in and be a part of it. In other words, this feels like a story of every person's life, and it feels good. Giamatti's performance is excellent. Read More This movie was as slow as molasses and I did not care a lick about any of the characters. About 30 minutes into the movie I was ready to turn it off, but my wife said it was like a train wreck and she would not let me take out the DVD. If you enjoy watching people be wine snobs in a movie with homoerotic undertones this movie is for you. Just remember, you will not be able to the the 2 hours of your life back. With all the buzz it got you would think it would have a gripping story, great ending and lovable characters. I found it hard to like any of the characters, the story to be dull, and the ending to not come soon enough. The movie is based around this really depressed boring guy (Real exciting). The movie was slow and I felt like I was living every min of this guys boring life for a week. If I wanted to be bored I would watch my own life.
