If you like "It's A Wonderful Life", then it is impossible to not like "Mr. Smith". The story is solid but the audience of today KNOW that it could never happen today because there are NO leaders or legislators of today that have the kind of remorse necessary for the elder Senator to do what he finally does (I don't want to give away the ending).
Have some fun with "Mr. Smith" and see how many of the actors you can identify from "Wonderful Life". If you try real hard, you will be shocked. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
