Read More Incredibly slow, poorly scripted, and unfounded plot doom this film from the first few minutes to the end. This truly was a waste of talent, but they chose to do it so there is some sharing of blame here. Women meets young man, young man reminds her of ex-fiancee who died, women thinks almost immediately "hmmmmm, he reminds me of a certain someone", blah blah blah....Laura Linney!!!!! WHat were you thinking???????
Don't even rent this on a bet....it is not romance, it is not intriguing, but it is a mess! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Laura Linney and Topher Grace just do not make a match in my mind. I can't imagine any well-respected professional needing or wanting anything from Topher's character. Mildly interesting, but the directors couldn't seem to make up their minds on how to make the love affair believable. Nothing was conclusive. If they could have wrapped up the storyline on WHY Topher's character caused her to think he was a recarnate of her dead high school sweetheart, I would have felt better at the end. They left this thread unresolved. They could have made it more interesting by bringing in another storyline that made this kid the actual child of her dead lover.
