I got out of it exactly what I thought I would. Half decent effects, a little gore, and a story that barely floats along. Just think of this as a "Creature Feature" movie from marvel, not "Spider Man" or "X-men", but better than "Daredevil". Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

There is no scientist, no testing of serums, no body bursts into flame. What you have is a fantastic b-movie with decent acting and amazing special effects. Man-thing is actually a discraced/murdered indian leader returned from the grave to take revenge on everybody. The mood is cool, the creature effects are awesome and the movie is enjoyable. I gave up without even watching the entire movie. It took too long to get started and once it did get moving, it was just a snoozer.

Read More This movie was originally supposed to be another blockbuster hit from another comic book movie. Well that all changed once they watched it and realized they would make more money selling it as TP than as a Theaterical release. This movie is boring and doesnt have much to it, and as you see from the rest of the reviewers, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the comic. I would rather watch Care Bears the Movie again than to ever see this again. I believe if we showed this in iraq, they would kneel down and cry from the inhumane torture in which we are spreading across them! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
0 out of 1 people found this review helpful I like the premise of this movie, but overall it was very poorly done. It tried to be scary, and have some gore but it just didn't cut it for me. There's a little too much computer generated graphics going on and the acting is terrible. And why the sheriff and the acitivist chick start falling for one another is lame. I love horror flicks, but I'm not a big comic book fan. I think you have to be really into comics to somewhat enjoy this. The amount of B-roll is quit noticeable too - reminded me of "The Prey". Way too many transition shots of the swamp or whatever between dialog scenes. If it wasn't for the little amount of gore and short boob scene, this would definitely be a TV movie.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
