The best cheesy shark flick since Jaws 3. Just a fun crap movie to watch and own. Lou Diamond Philips, Kristy Swanson, Coolio, and a Bull Shark. Really, how can you go wrong?

I am a definite Lou Diamond Phillips fan! I didn't know about this movie. I thought it was very good. The plot and subplots worked well together. Lot of action going on. I also love anything bayou or cajun style and this movie does a great job at showing cajun life. Very few films capture the essence like this one does. The beginning is a little quick in sequence with a low budget appearance and there are a few issues in the ending that one would think unbelievable--but they add into the storyline. I would not have named this movie Red Water. I would have titled it, Bayou Attack, because this bayou river comes under attack by a shark, an oil refinery and treasure hunters.
