I was skeptical. I was watching bond before adolence in the 70's. Loving every minute. I was quite suprised when they changed actors after just three with Brosnan. I secretly wanted this film to suck! How dare they! Well, it didn't. It was even better. It took me right back to the good ole days. The one sassy woman he can't have is the one he really wants. The evil villian with the strange and unique defect. YUM I ate it up like a hungry pup. Gotta love Bond!

I was unsure of how newbie Bond Daniel Craig would do, but he really impressed me and my fanatical Bond friends. The movie is chock full of great action sequences, and Craig is a fabulous Bond even though he's blonde (his physique makes up for it though). Set as the first of the infamous 007's adventures, it's interesting to hear Bond snap "do I look like I bloody care?" when asked how he prefers his martini. The fact that Bond's well-known identity has not yet crystallized makes the flick intriguing, as does the back-story regarding his future noncommittal romantic stylings. The movie also features what is in our opinion, the most beautiful death scene ever to appear on film.

Although the movie wasn't as action packed and over the top as expected from the previous Bond films, I really liked how this story sets everything up (for a new franchise): We see how Bond became a "playboy" / womanizer (maybe not the correct word) because of how his love interest was killed. This helped establish his nonchalant attitude towards the future "Bond Girls" he will meet. We don't get to see any over-the-top Bond "gadgets" because he is failrly new to the double agent scene, and appears to want to do it all himself. Afterall, this mission only needed a big bank-account. I do think Daniel Craig was a great choice as the new British agent, but I just wished they dyed his hair black / brown to make the change a little easier. Overall, I enjoyed this feature. Unlike older Bond films, this one was very modern in terms of storytelling, and didn't try to make the villians too comic-booky.

From the heart-stopping opening chase, this movie grabs you from the get-go! Daniel Craig is, in my opinion, the BEST Bond so far. Don't get me wrong! I love Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan, but Craig gives the Bond character its long lost ruggedness that a true British secret agent needs. He adds some of that "Bourne" quality to the mix and left out the cheeky, often cheesy, glamor that past Bonds thrived on, without losing ANY sexiness. BIG THUMBS WAY UP!!

This is a remake of another Bond film. It was a comedy with Woody Allen playing the nephew of James Bond. I think Peter Sellers was in it too. I hate when a movie has a prequel and they have today things. If you are going to have a prequel set in the time before the first movie. The movie was okay but not enough action. Daniel Craig is okay, but he does a good job. He is not my favorite of the Bonds. Sean Connery is still the Bond for me.

The best Bond ever. Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen and Judi Dench round out a terrific cast in the newest edition to the Bond legacy in by far the best and most true to the book James Bond film. Outstanding acting, true emotion and kick ass special effects and action make this easily the Bond of the generation. Pierce Brosnan can kiss my ass.

A great opening scene. But long and downhill from there. The poker scene at the end was ridiculous. It felt like an hour too long and the final poker hands were as improbable as they were predictable. The villian was Austin Powers like..... Craig is good as the new guy so I'll see the next one.
