I didn't laugh once during this film. This movie is an odd plot about an enron-type corp. implosion with mix of bad luck which "forces" the couple in question into "crime" to solve their problems. Besides just the weird plot with it's tired cliches, the general manical nature of the Jim's Richard character just struck me as annoying rather then funny. Your better off watching Ace Ventura or Liar, Liar, which are better suited for Carrey because this film is as odd as clown in a business suit.

I generally do not apprediate comedies but my fiance and I had some good laughs at this especially when Tea volunteers for the medical study to bring in some extra cash.

I loved the fact that this movie kept me laughing. Tea Leoni is one of my faves not to mention Jim Carey. It hits so close to home, especially during a time when our economic outlook may not be so good. I can see how one might get creative in their attempts to hang on to your home and at the same time turn around something negative that has a positive impact.

Good premise for a movie, but the director just took everything WAY too over the top.. This could have been a really complete, really great movie if the director would have just let some moments be anything but an attempt at a cheap laugh. There's a place for a serious scene in an over the top comedy, and this movie had a bunch of those places. The director didn't realize that though and tried to make the entire movie into a laugh... only many of the attempts just weren't funny and would have resonated with the audience so much better if they would have let up on the laugh attempts for a couple seconds.
