Read More I was a little hesitant to see this movie, not being too fond of vampires, but this is no ordinary vampire movie. This is an awesome Japanese Drama, it also shows you certain values in life, how things can turn for the worst in a blink of an eye, and how the characters deal with it. I am familiar with Camui-San and Takarai-San's singing careers(although, I am not a crazed fan, just so you know I did not watch this because these stars are featured in this film.) and I believe both they and the other actors put Gakuto Camui's vision for this film to justice. If you are a sensative hearted person like I am, get ready for the tears to fall. This film is a good combination of Action, Drama, and a little bit of Comedy, I don't know why it is categorized as horror. This is one movie you'll want to watch again and again! It does have a vampire in it, but that's seldom important to the - storyline. This is a "gangsta" action film with a lot of 1970s style Chinese acrobatic pseudo martial arts fighting. Mortals leap through the air with the greatest of ease, or stand in the middle of a gun battle and dodge bullets. That's not an expression: They actually stand in one place watching people shoot at them, and then move as though they were playing dodge ball so the bullets will miss them. Read More Wow I really liked this movie! It made me cry a few times and ad lots of gunplay--which I love-- But not to mention, it also had Gackt and Hyde in it witch is a MAJOR plus! (I have crushes on bolth of them)--yes, Im a girl, not george-- but I fell in love with this movie! Read More Well personally I thought the beginning was just horrible, but it eventually picks up a bit. I'm a huge Gackto/Gackt fan, so I was excited to see this movie, but having him in it was the big redeeming factor for it, since overall it wasn't all that great.
Also, the movie switches between Japanese and Chinese a lot (mostly Chinese), but most people won't even notice anyway. Just mentioning for those of you who speak one or the other, it is not strictly Japanese or Chinese. On the other hand, the subtitles are written pretty well. Although this movie was a let-down, it wasn't a lost cause and was still a decent movie in its own way.
Just don't expect -too- much from this movie and you're sure to enjoy it at least once or twice (especially if you're Gackt or Hyde fan)! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
