Albert Finney should have had an Oscar and Tim Burton should have as well. This movie was wrongfully overlooked and virtually un-noticed at the Oscars in 2004 with the exception of the hauntingly beautiful score. The story takes you on many adventures through the story telling of Albert Finney to his son, wife, friends and family and anyone that will listen. It's all about the relationship between the father (Finney) and the son (Billy Crudup) and his quest to know who is father really is before his father dies. Tim Burton fans will know to watch for symbolism and many little truths to be found throughout the film. Great supporting cast as well - Danny DeVito is a HOOT in this. It's one I own and every father and son should watch together. This movie is just BEAUTIFUL. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This movie was not really our favorite Tim Burton movie. We found some parts of it depressing. It was still good. We would still recomend it but only to Tim Burton fans. If you don't know Tim Burton or haven't seen any of his movies, we recomend starting with Nightmare Before Christmas or Corps Bride. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
