I didn't expect to like this movie, but it was well worth watching. The trailers focus on the fantasy sequences but it's more about the father/son relationship. Good story, good ending. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreThis is an AMAZING movie - and Tim Burton directs at his very best. Albert Finney should have had an Oscar and Tim Burton should have as well. This movie was wrongfully overlooked and virtually un-noticed at the Oscars in 2004 with the exception of the hauntingly beautiful score. The story takes you on many adventures through the story telling of Albert Finney to his son, wife, friends and family and anyone that will listen. It's all about the relationship between the father (Finney) and the son (Billy Crudup) and his quest to know who is father really is before his father dies. Tim Burton fans will know to watch for symbolism and many little truths to be found throughout the film. Great supporting cast as well - Danny DeVito is a HOOT in this. It's one I own and every father and son should watch together. This movie is just BEAUTIFUL. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This was a most enjoyable movie. Much better than I expected. There was great story telling, fantasy, . The human relations showed sensitivity, exasperation and love. The ending was quite intriguing. I'll watch it again some time in the future. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
