Like others, I watched this movie tons of times when I was younger. Its probably one of those movies that if you watched it as a kid in the 90's you love it. If you watch it for the first time as an adult or kid today you would probably think it stinks. Classic line: "Wolfmans got nards!". Glad to see they are putting classic 80's movies out on DVD. I still know all the words to this movie! I named my daughter Phoebe because the little girl was so spunky and cute! I love this movie! In school (6th grade) we made a monster club. God how dorky but we did. This is one of my all time faves. Thank God it came out on DVD I think my VHS copy has almost had it! My kids are 9 and 5 and it's their favorite too! This is a good movie for kids. While there are monsters, hince the name, they are not so terrifying that you can't watch with younger children. This movie combines action, humor, and a family theme. Worth a watch if you have not seen or to just relive some childhood memories. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More I only slightly remembered this movie from my younger years and thought it might be nice for the kids since their in to monsters scooby doo style. Seeing it was pg-13 I hesistated but figured it was for some scary scenes and probably back in the eighties pg-13 wasnt that bad. Ok I was wrong way wrong, the language alone in this movie is ridiculous their is no need for that much crap. Couple of scenes were a kid is smoking and talks of a girl being a virgin and also some scenes of a kid spying on a girl stripping. The most offensive was the end when dracula calls a 5yr old girl a b****. This is a movie I wanted to like but would not recommend to any parent of any kid under 16. Nice premise but really slimey directing doomed this movie its a nice b movie for older kids or adults but this is not a kids movie at all Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
