Liam Neeson and Laura Linney, who play Dr. Kinsey and his wife respectively, are nothing short of brilliant. It is not just the story of Dr. Kinsey's studies of human sexuality, but is also a love story, following the sometimes bumpy relationship between Kinsey and his wife. This is not for viewers who are uncomfortable with explicit sexual dialogue and depictions, but for anyone else, it is really an eye opener. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I really liked Liam Neeson and Laura Linney in it. Alfred Kinsey was definitely an interesting man, and I think the movie did a good job of portraying his genius. Some of the sex scenes were a bit too bizarre for my tastes, though. I don't think they had to be so graphic. DEFINITELY NOT FOR CHILDREN! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

He removed the emotion from sex, and thought others could do the same. Sex and emotion are so intertwined in our society that you can't igoner the connection. I am glad he did what he did and I think the U.S. is better for it. He worked to free minds and bodies from the Victorian prudishness that still exists today. Just think of how much ignorance of the true workings of sex would still exist if he did not pioneer this area. As for the movie, I thought it was very well done from an acting and technical point of view. Some parts of the story were somewhat disturbing. Not recommended for those under, say 25 or so.
