In a time when it seems movies about people are lost, this one ... Read More When I first read what this movie was about and then saw it was two hours long I thought it would be boring. I was so wrong.
In a time when it seems movies about people are lost, this one positively shines. This movie is not action, explosions, and non-stop chaos. It is about a man who falls into a serious dilemna, how he copes with it, and by his incredible attitude he changes the world around him. That world is a two-story section of a huge international airport. The very system that has stranded him as "unacceptable" becomes the system that he learns how to play and in doing so becomes a type of hero to the people who are in his world.
I highly recommend this film to those who crave drama about people for a refreshing change from the mindless, blow em up, Hollywood yarns.

I didn't see it in the theatres because of those reviews but now that I have seen it...I am sorry I missed it on the big screen! This movie was very entertaining, funny, sad, and I could connect with the character. Very cute, although I am sorry he didn't really get the girl. I am not sure this is so much a romatnic comedy though, it just didn't flesh out that way. I loved Tom Hanks character and felt such sympathy for him during the movie. Stanley Tucci did a great job as the bad guy, I actually wanted to choke him.
