He was like a child at first and was treated horribly. But when everyone (except the jerk in charge) pulled together for him it was great. Another thumbs up for Tom. This movie stunk worse than the breath of a West Hollywood whore. Who directed and wrote this thing pulled literally every melodramatic Hollywood stunt in the book. Inspired by true events? Good Lord, nothing like this could have ever possibly happened to the poor chump who actually was trapped in an airport terminal. The Chick (was that Catherine Zeta-Jones?) was laughably bad. 2 stars for being so bad it was good. Worth a watch. Smoke a bowl and try to imagine Tom Hank's character as Forrest Gump with an Eastern European accent. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

There are a few neat scenes and the character development is good, but I nearly fell asleep. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Why such a dud from two beautiful and wonderful people? Slow, inept, and boring, words that only capture about a tenth of what this movie meant to me. I couldn't get it back into the envelope fast enough so that I could get it out of the way.
But, re-watching "Saving Private Ryan" instead of this movie re-afirmed my faith in Hanks and Spielburg. Gee, everyone has to have a "stinker" once in a while, don't they? Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
