Read More I liked the movie but being a reader I know it was lacking so much info. The Dursleys being omitted wasnt such a big deal it was actually an nice change of pace not starting the movie out at the Dursleys house. But there was no mention of the house elves or Dobby and I feel that was an important part of the book that was left out seeing as though they are mentioned in the following books. The special effects were great. I cried when the boy died. That scene was so sad. Chamber of Secrets was the best movie for me but this movie was pretty good in its own right. Read More This movie, like most Harry Potter films, was short on actual content. There isn't much depth to the characters, even Harry seems to be a paper cutout at times. However, visually the movie is interesting and fun to watch. It is worth the price of admission but I don't see myself watching it again and again. If you like fantasy, I would recommend Lord of the Rings instead. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Namely that the editing, especially in the beginning, was very choppy. If you've read the books like I have it is glaringly obvious. The Dumbledor speech should have been before the introduction of the other schools (it would have made more sense to the people who hadn't read the books as well, I believe). Also, the Ball scene where Hermione and Ron have words and the one directly after that in the hall should have had something between them. It felt like we'd missed something because Hermione's hair was suddenly askew and she was breathing heavily. Did they cut the Krum kiss because of the rating?
In sum, loved the movie but I love the books more.
PS ~ They should really start to make these movies part 1 and part 2 now (ala Kill Bill) because the books just keep getting longer and longer from here with less and less 'fluff' that can be left out. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

These movies are in a class all by themselves and that is why they are so popular. The storline, the effects, the actors, the chemistry, the money, the staff... it just continues to work.---
It's like I'm under the spell of having to like the series so much. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I went out and got the 2 disc special edition, and i must say i am glad i did. there are a lot of extra features on it that you would miss out on if you just got the 1 disc version.
If you havent picked up any of these disc's i recommend trying one of your super stores like sam's club or cost-co. thats where i got the first 3 for 20 bucks.
Just really wish they didnt change the box. I liked the fold out box they had with the first 2.
Great movie, will defentaly watch it a 4th and 5th time, and maybe even more.
Cant waite till the next 3. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This one started out slow and was a little darker than the others. It also left you hanging at the end. I heard that this is the last one but, I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Harry Potter. Even if he returns in 15-20 years (like the Star Wars episodes) as a 30 year old man fighting off evil witches... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
