Finally there is some imagery that simulates the books, some life and some adventure. I am glad they are keeping the same director for the next movie because the guy who did the last three sucked. Read More Some aspects of this movie were really well done. The confrontation between professor Mcgonagall and Umbridge in the cafeteria was so interesting to watch unfold. Mostly because the way the director used the stairs to position the characters, as they argued. But the CGI done for Grawp was laughable. They did so much other things well. Overall it was a decent movie. casting was pretty good, nothing glaringly obvious. Overall, fine movie if you have a decent attention span and have read the book. Do not bring kids, not that kind of movie. Can't believe someone is boycotting because Dumbledore may or may not be Gay. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The Harry Potter movies are definately getting more morbid. The books are much better, however I would still prefer these movies to The Chronicles of Narnia or Bridge to Terabithia. These movies show the classic good against evil storyline, but have a few twists along the way. If you haven't read the books you are left wondering if Harry will have his happy ending or end up dying to save the world. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It was also very corny, my friends and I were laughing the whole time. I wouldn't reccomend this movie to people who read the books. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The first 3 books imo were better movie adaptations than Order of the Phx, , this was due in part to the length of the books.. On the other hand Goblet of Fire was a complete waste of time (as movie), the book was about 1000 pages and I heard that pages in a book equal about 1 to 5 minutes of screen play.. They basically took the best book of the first 5 and totally ruined it.. Goblet of fire skipped over a lot of back-story and portrayed Harry as some kind of idiot. At one point they didnt even explain how Harry learned anything for the Tri-wizard tournament. Apparently in the movies he is some clumsy kid who just stumbles on magic by random.. In other words he attends Hogworts School of Magic for its underage, date line NBC, have a seat wizardresses and the free quills.
And speaking of quills? Do you think there is a Staples or Home Depot off I190 and the Forbidden Forest (hang a u-ee at the quiddich fields it will be on the north east corner near the Wizard Cabana). Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

JK Rowling must have been too busy defending Dumbledore's sexuality to pay attention to this lackluster film. The performances aren't to blame insomuch as the poor directing and crappy visual effects despite a $200 million budget. For that cash I could have made a better adapation with Crayons.
