Read More After reading all of these scathing reviews I was really expecting something terrible and boring. On the contrary, I thought this was a good movie as did my girlfriend. Along with being mostly historically accurate, the acting was excellent. Overall, itâs definitely worth watching. The only part of the movie I wasnât sure about was Angelina Jolieâs accent which I thought might be unrealistic, but my coworker who is Greek said it was actually quite authentic. Vangelis' (Chariots of Fire) music swells when the title character is supposedly saying something great, but the lines didn't deserve such grandeur. Yeah Jolie is hot but this movie is NOT! Read More After reading all of the poor reviews, I've come to realize that those that did not enjoy this movie are most likely those that enjoy pure action movies. Oliver Stone takes real artistic license with Alexander, and once again puts his slant on history.
Like it or not, it's still a well done film. I'm not a fan of Mr. Farrell or Ms. Jolie, but they play their roles extremely well. I loved the way Oliver Stone broke up the scenes; not showing us all of how Alex becomes King until the latter stages of the movie.

This movie seemed to focus on Alexander being gay. I don't care if somebody is gay, but I don't have to watch it. I shut the movie off a little more than halfway through because the focus was not "Alexander the Warrior", but "Alexander the Alternative Lifestyle Man" or whatever the politically correct term for gay is.
