It's zombies are terrifying and the suspense is well paced. The point of Romero's dead series, which this is taken from, is that you don't know why this happened. How could anyone? The characters had depth instead of just being characterless victims. You felt sad when some were taken & happy when others were taken. Sad at the end. Not just a gore flick, that is, things did not just happen to produce gore. Gore happened for a purpose. Even Andy, who we don't see/hear until close to the end, had good character. I understand this is part of a trilogy, but it's part of a trilogy that took place in 79'. The movie did'nt state how the zombies got there or anything they were just there from begining to end. I mean seriously can we get a plot going and then decide to make the movie. The worst part of it all is that i actually paid to go see it in the theater.
