That's about right, however part of it's style was this dark in the shadows way of filming and I could have lived with that for some scenes but 2 hrs of it was annoying - like constantly tryng to squint and see in the dark. The story itself was all over the place, but I admit some of this was indeed fun. Not a bad film - but not great. Cool late 50s type robots and rocketships - Angelina in an eye-patch, Gwyenth Paltrow makes a great "Polly" - and Jude Law IS quite dashing but he couldn't be anything else if he tried. Great cast. No where plot. Moves so slow my 6 year old asked when it was going to do something. Upon making it to the end (if you haven't fallen asleep) it is not that astounding. Disappointing. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreAlthough this movie is visually interesting and unique (live actors layered over computer-generated images inspired by vintage comic books that are both retro and futuristic looking at the same time), the novelty of that wears off in the first 5 minutes and then you are left with a boring mess. The script is ridiculous, and in spite of having a first-rate cast, the performances are totally wooden and laughable. (Probably because the entire film was shot against a blue screen on an empty sound stage with nothing for the actors to react to.) The special features do give you some appreciation for what actually went into the making of this film. Unfortunately, they were apparently so preoccupied with how it would LOOK that they forgot to make it ENTERTAINING. A complete waste of time! Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
