Excellent visual effects. Classic CS Lewis tale of good and evil, betrayal, courage and redemption with obvious Christian themes.

This is a very well done recreation of this Classic Novel. I had always loved the original movie series. I was not sure if I would like my favorite novel series being recreated. Boy was I in for a very good surprise. This was very well done. The characters chosen to play the parts were spot on to the original series. I applaud Disney Studios for another well done movie. Looking foward the the rest of the series!!!

I read this a few months ago and the movie held very true to the book...casting was pretty good too. The special effects were pretty cool with regards to the animals, like the Beavers and Aslan...although when reading I felt this draw to the lion...the way he was described, how his main seemed to radiate the sun and his voice put you at ease...I wish they had focused on that more...Liam Neeson's voice didn't quite put me at ease the way I was expecting. :) Overall, highly recommended rental!

The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Satyr’ lessons are that the voice of God is not to be found in words; the voice of God does not speak from the outside, but it beats insistently inside you; this means, of course, instincts and desires. The Biblical story explains humans were different from the animals because God gave them commandments to regulate the instincts and desires he also had given his human creation. These commandments came from outside themselves. The key Biblical doctrine about Man and God is ridiculed. The story made four children leaders of the animal kingdom. When these four failed the animals in their most desperate hour the script brought in a resurrected wild lion Savior, who took charge just in time to save them all. The film uses Wiccan doctrines and would be liked best by pagans or the non-religious.
