All the critics need to lighten up, this is a children's book after all!! The special effects were terrific in telling this classic battle of good versus evil. Just watch it and try not to ask yourself "why?" or "how did that happen?" or "that can't be real?" too many times.

This movie is just plain stunning. The effects are amazing. The film brings a magical world of make believe to life. Yes, it is aimed at young children, but most adults will enjoy it. It's amazing to see menatours, and centaurs, and griffins, and a bunch of other creatures walking around and looking so real. It's a terrific movie.

This movie was worth seeing in the theaters. There was a lot of action and it stayed pretty true to the book. Definitely one I would like to have in my movie library.

To those who expressed some confusion with the plot... 1. The reason for children getting involved in the conflict is revealed in the 6th book. Lewis, the author, wished the final release of the series to be reordered so that the original book 6, "The Magician's Nephew", would be the first installment. Personally, I enjoyed the discovery all the more for having to wait for it. 2. To the gentleman who quipped that no one would allow anyone so young to be crowned ruler of a nation... I respectfully suggest that you enroll in some college history courses. Or high-school, for that matter. Heck, read a history book. A comic book that deals with history. Whatever is on your level.

The mystical life of C.s. Lewis. Portraying the interesting facts and fictions. I enjoyed reading the books as a kid.

The movie started out great until all of the children discovered Narnia. It just went all downhill from there. Too bad, this could could have been as great as Lord of the Rings.

Just because a movie has the Walt Disney label and has talking animals doesn’t mean it’s for kids. I luckily watched this movie before I let my kids watch it. My kids (5 & 7) would have been sleeping in my bed for a month after this due to the monsters, the fighting, the killing, the resurrections, and the nasty witch. I even jumped when that witch yelled at that poor boy Ed. Other than that, I think the acting was great, especially Lucy, her facial expressions were superb. The CGI was awesome, you can almost believe the animals were really talking and really there. The battle scenes were great, but a rip off of Lord of the Rings. Aslan was scary when he wanted to be and the witch was nightmarish. I didn’t read the books so I had no idea about the movie.

abslutely awfull, what was any of the hype about? totally disconnected, no flow of storyline, just a bunch of random scenes of boredom strung together....maybe my copy was the scenes from the editing room floor? the only scene with any quality was the final battle, and that too looked like 10 yr old CGI effects.......4 thumbs down
