The special effects and make up done were awesome and the story line was good. It got pretty intense during the middle of the movie and had a twist that I didn't see coming. My 5 year old who is usually ok with most PG-13 movies got very upset and asked to shut it off. I had to finish watching the movie after he had gone to bed to put his mind at ease about a particular event that happened in the middle. Once I told him how it ended he finished watching it and loved it. Best for preteens thru adults. Overall very good movie. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The movie was too slow, super boring, and a waste of good time. The children got on my last nerve arguing with each other. There was no purpose as to why the mother sent them off to a strange land to live with a strange professor. Overall, the movie was pointless and above all too make believe.
