The Aviator was a good movie. Like most of Scorcese's movies - a little too long at 3 hrs - did not have to be that long. This is more of a character study than biographical of Hughes life..Leonardo DiCaprio I thought would be an odd choice to play Howard Hughes (as he looks not a thing like him - nor does Cate Blanchett look a thing like Kate Hepburn)....so I put off seeing the movie for some time. But I must say - that DiCaprio was amazing. I am old enough to remember Howard Hughes in my own lifetime...and he did an amazing job of capturing his mannerisims, facial expressions and his walk - to the point that no matter how much he physically does not look like him - he really took on the character and became him...to that I say BRAVO. I do love Leonardo D, he's an excellent character and brings life to any role he plays. He did a fantastic job at portraying this complex and interesting man. I also liked the realistic insight into OCD - it's a horrible illness that they knew nothing about back then - he was a brilliant man but suffered so much and was so misunderstood because of it. It's a long film, so relax and enjoy it - it moves along pretty well, it did not feel like a long film to me - worth watching! Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Great movie, actually has a plot that isn't redundant. True - it can get long and drags out at times but all in all it holds your attention. Leo really has acting talent, tough role to play. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
