I'm not really into aviation, but I watched it because it won 5 Academy Awards. I thought every minute of this movie was fascinating. I became so involved with the characters I didn't realize the movie was almost 3 hours long. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The period feel is strong - I really believed that the cast was in the early half of last century. In fact, the acting was also spot on. Leo did a great job with that frenetic yet subdued Southern drawl of Howard Hughes. I even got annoyed at how well Cate Blanchett did as a certain Miss Hepburn. Nevertheless, the plot stalls when Hughes starts his descent into madness. They could have done a better job sprinkling the madness in rather than having it fall like an anvil mid-movie. Also, the part I hoped for most was when Hughes starts being a crazy shut-in! None of that. Oh well. Good movie nevertheless. ;-) Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

DiCaprio is very convincing as Mr. Hughes. The story moves along quite swiftly and although it is not an Action movie, there are very few parts that would be considered down time. Definitely worth seeing if you're a fan of DiCaprio or Scorsese. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

0 out of 0 people found this review helpful I found this movie a little boring. Actually, I lost interest in it a bit over half way through & just stopped watching. The characters were interesting enough so I am not quite sure why this movie just didn't seem to 'work'....but it didn't!WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It is a complex story but this movie makes the years fly by. If you dont know the history of Howard Hughes then this is the tell all for you. The people that dont like this movie probably fall into a couple of categories but everyone else should like it. Those categories would be people that dont know or care about any aviation history. Also, people that dont understand or have not dealt with mental illness probably will not understand this movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
