Having said that, the dancing is really fun to watch. Its like a feature length music video, and doesn't try too hard to be a real movie (which helps.) Did you see "Honey"? The dancing is much better in this, and you aren't beaten over the head with storyline. If you're looking for a good story from the 'hood, see something else. But what can you expect when you get dancers, and not actors to act in a movie? This movie would have been much better as a documentary about dancing on the streets or something.
