You have 2 groups battling against each other and of course, ... Read More I didn't care for this movie too much because it's the typical teenage dance movie. It was just like "Stomp the Yard". and "Drumline". You have 2 groups battling against each other and of course, the main character ends up liking a girl and they hook up, and then they have a moment in the movie where everything is falling apart, and for 2 seconds you're thinking there's not gonna be a battle and he's not gonna hook back up with his girl, and then all of a sudden, everything falls into place. He wins, he has his girl back and they can live happily ever after. In a nutshell, it's too predictable. And yes, the acting was not that good. They should diffently make a part two but B2K broke up so I don't know if it would be the same. Your going to be on the edge of your seat or dancing on in your living room when you see the final dance showdown. It makes you wish you could break dance lol lol. Read More Hollywood has been churning out "African American Dance" movies since the early 70's and have they changed or gotten any better? No. There is the cookie cutter script of 1. promising youth in bad neighborhood. 2. underground or school level "dancing" involving competition. 3. a tragedy to deal with halfway through and finally 4. the big dance off!!!!!! Read More okay, can't say i expected much from this movie, but i really wanted to see some cool dancing, but was sorely dissapointed. all the cool dancing was in the preview, the movie consisted of really bad shots, like cut away to expressions of "oh my god" instead of showing the move that caused it. Really shoddy camera work, the story sucked but i expected that. anyway, if you're getting it for the same reason to see some cool dancing, skip it. rent a documentary or something.
