It reminds me of a made for TV-movie based on "Little House on the Prairie." There is not much drama, because the script telegraphs what's coming. Woman in the frontier west is widowed. Widower steps forward with a place to stay, love blossoms and a new family is born. If you like unsophisticated, sweet, christian morality plays, this is a good choice. The photography is good, young Skye does a good job as the daughter. The adults seem a bit stiff in the parts. This was entertaining, though I found it a bit preachy. A nice family film. The special features were non-existent. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I now own it and have watched it over and over. The musical score was rich, the cinematography was beautifully done and the acting was terrific. The plot was a bit easy to figure out, however, the viewer becomes so wrapped up in the characters that you allow yourself to be swept away. It is a beautiful love story on two levels -- the love between Marty as the adopted mother to Missy and the love story between Marty and Clark. Outstanding on all fronts and a family classic with Christian family values! Bravo to Michael Landon Jr. for making such an inspiring movie for all ages! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More This is a movie every family should watch together. It's a wonderful movie about Love and Marriage, but it's also a movie filled with things you don't see much of today. The movie portrays beautifully what it means to be a Man of the House and a godly Husband. Clark Davis, played by Dale Midkiff, not only labors to keep a roof over his family's heads and food on the table - but he is a teacher and defender of the faith in his home. He takes time daily to worship and pray and leads his family in devotion. Davis is also a man of his word and has integrity. Put the Nintendo away for a night and spend an evening with your children talking about and watching this movie. You won't regret it! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
