Adrien Brody was wonderful and Milla Jovovich was hilarious as Steven's foul mouthed best friend. I especially enjoyed watching it a second time with the Jeff Dunham commentary. At first I thought I made a mistake, but after a few minutes I was captured by the characters and the direction of the film. Totally enjoyed this - simple story of growing up and growing up as a social misfit - and coming of age, following dreams and managing to find love. The whole thing with the dummy sort of put me off. I had a hard time believeing a potential girlfriend would find it cute. In reality, that would sent a girl fleeing for the door.
Adrien Brody is a wonderful actor and his performance did not dissappoint. Even Milla Jovovich played a convincing charatcer.

I rented this based on the reviews posted here. I love quirky films, but this was just bad. The premise is interesting, and somehow the makers got a great cast, but the actors just couldn't save this dud.
