I have seen all 4 Harry Potter movies, and this is by far the best one. Harry Potter 1, 2, and 4 were like paint by numbers, but Harry Potter 3 is a living, breathing movie. It is awesome. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Alfonso Cuarón made this movie a little to dark and mean. Don't get me wrong it's a good movie. It could've been better.

The young lady who wrote the book gave an interview a few months ago and she said that the #2 film was fine, lacking a bit of the story line but fine. Read MoreDefinitely an entertaining show, with a group of great children actors, groovy special effects, comedy, and action. However one thing that has always brought all of the potter movies down a notch, is the lack of magic. Here we have Harry Potter whom is supposed to be a great wizard, yet he hardly touches his magic wand. After three years of wizard school he should be more advanced and confident. The first thing I noticed was that the characters don't look 13 years old as the headmaster says they are. They all look closer to 18. Other than that, the movie was all over the place, incorporating various things from other movies and mixing things up. There was no real mystery involved like #2. Read MoreI was so looking forward to this movie as the book is my favorite of them all so far and it just didn't deliver. I think Chris Columbus could have done a much better job of directing and bringing out the darkness of this one as well as the more lighter aspects of the story. Fred & Charlie were barely in the movie and they played pivotal roles in the book.
Worth renting of course and I've added it to my collection but I'm looking forward to the Goblet of Fire and Chris Columbus being back at the helm. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

If you hadn't read the book, you would never follow the movie. If you read the book, the movie didn't follow the book. Unless you are really a Potter fan skip this one. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
