Read MoreThis was a nice return to old-style comics. Connery's Quartermaine was as good as any of the WW1 era comic heroes, drawing on the popular notion of the hunter-hero. Teamed with a collection of monsters, near-heroes and classic villans (all characters that would NOT have been acceptable back then), they re-paint how a classic hero team works. I really think this film will help to change the way that heroes are depicted, however, making them more human to us, so that we can relate to them more. The story-line is pretty much based on some of the fantastic sciences that were being predicted back during the WW1 period being presented here. Good pace, good tone with some light-hearted fun, strong characters and strong story... making for a film worth sitting the whole family down for. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I watched this with the kids. They liked it, but when we got to the "extra features" (interviews, making of etc.) there was a lot of bad language, even the "F" word, for goodness sake! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The concept was really awesome seeing all these fictional characters working together. What I didn't like was- major spoilers- that they killed the only two charcters I liked! Like Van Helsing this movie could have been extraordinary, but they blew it big time. The characters themselves were pretty cool. The vilian is one of the weakest I have ever seen on film. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

If you are a dorky comic book reader, you may like this movie. It is an incredibly unbelievable story with so many plot holes you will want to throw the movie into one of them. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
