However, the movie does not target the same age range as Dumb and Dumber. This movie is intended for a younger (pre-teen) audience. Beware the language. They should never have messed with the original. Unless you were going to bring back the original cast. Going back to a younger age to meet a younger crowd was not that good of an idea. Dumb and Dumber was an all time classic. This prequel fell very, very short. I didn't laugh once during the first hour. I kept waiting for the plot to expand but it didn't. -------
This is a pointless waste of time and money, even as a rental. I guarantee that if you rent this movie you'll turn it off halfway through because it is unbearable. -------

Read More This movie I think did a great job in capturing the same humor as the original Dumb and Dumber. I found the acting of Eric Christian Oslen was outstanding as Lloyd Christmas and Derek Richardson did a great job as Harry Dunne. The story line was different and didn't try to copy the original as many sequels do. There was a lot of the same slap stick humor and dumb behavior you would expect from Lloyd and Harry. If you liked Dumb and Dumber you will like this movie as my family did. It is one of those movies that each time you watch it you catch more funny parts you might have missed before. Read More I had heard nothing but bad reviews about this movie, so I waited a LONG time before renting it. Honestly, I don't know what all the bad reviews were about. These boys did a FANTASTIC job of capturing the flavor of the characters in the first movie. Frankly, I was impressed. It was FUNNY and the acting was right on the mark. The special features were excellent. It goes behind the scenes and explains how the casting was done and these characters were formed. I finally saw this one after my 14 yr old son told me how funny it was. I'm so glad I did. It was hysterical! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
