Maxie is a FUN film about the spirit of a silent film star who never got her big break. Just when it seemed it had come along she died. Many, many moons later a young couple move into her apartment & play some of her old films which revives her spirit that only the husband can see. Maxie decides to possess the wife, who she amazingly resembles totally, & rekindle her career & if at all possible light the hubby's fire as well. Glenn Close is brilliant in her duo role, Mandy Patinkin i a delight & Ruth Gordonan, an added treat appearing as the landlady, is absolutely marvelous despite her age and obvious phyisical impairments.
