The plot is intriguing and occasionally confusing, but that's part of the Matrix allure.
The highway chase is absolutely fantastic.

The second 2 movies prove this. It is hard to put your finger one what is different, but the first Matrix left you in awe, and this one did not have the same effect. There is just something lacking in the last two films in this trilogy. I did enjoy this movie though. It was not as good as the first, but it was still decent and fun to watch. Good acting. Lots of action. Great insane special effects. It is a MUST see, just because once you see the first, you have to see the last two as well. 3.5 out of 5 stars for this one. The Matrix trilogy is so amazing in every aspect. I guess if you do not like a movie that makes you think about life or anything, this would not be for you. This is truly not a "brain candy" movie. Read MoreRarely, can you ever find a movie so great that it beats its original. Of course, its all about opinions. If you liked the first Matrix for its violent, slow motion death defying bullet dodging action, then you'd like the second one better. If you liked the first one for its awesome, complex plot, you'd STILL probably like the second one, though it does jump into the violent action without having to explain anything (my favorite quality about Matrix Reloaded).
