This guy is really short. He spends a lot of time walking and sitting down and reading. People say lots of insensitive things to him. He walks around a lot. Doesn't appear to have any visible means of support, but he's not in the mob. He comes to accept himself by the end of the movie. I think that's what happened. It wasn't that bad. Read More The movie's main character is Fin, an introverted little person and train expert living in a recently inherited abandoned train station. He soon befriends a divorced (bordering on depressed) woman and an extraverted food vendor. He introduces them to the dull world of train watching and they witness the occasional ostracism he faces from others resulting from his height. BIG DEAL...that's entertaining? I finished the movie, but I couldn't help wonder why I rented it in the first place, oh yeah, everyone else said it was great. Thumbs down. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This is a very quiet film, without an obnoxious musical score. I loved the dialog in this movie and the fact that it isn't glossy and over-acted. Fin's reluctance to let his guard down is finally worn down by Joe; and the unlikely trio of Fin, Joe & Olivia is what I found so appealing. Some jarring events lend to the unpredictability of the story, and I'm still undecided whether it ended too abruptly. Fine acting from Dinklage, Clarkson & Cannavale.

The movie exposes their personality and psychic through interaction among the three. Very slow movie which enables you to really feel the personality of each character. I kept waiting for a punchline, which, for me, never arrived. 5 stars on many dimensions, but overall three point five. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This is a mellow, beautifully crafted, exceptionally well-acted movie. If you like a lot of action this isn't for you, but if you like a character piece, you will love it. As the characters grow and change, you can't help but care for them and ache for the beautiful moments they manage to find in life, like a simple, kind kiss. Just lovely.
