Nice little film but that really is all it is. I disagree that the characters were well developed. I really don't think any of them were. Joe's character isn't developed at all nor does it explain why this cool Manhattan dude temporarily in the area is so apparently socially challenged that he begs for the company of the other two loners. I felt a lot more could have been done here since the plot really nothing was nothing more than the characters. The "resolution" of these character's shallowly developed problems at the end is horribly incomplete.

Brillian. Really it is. Character development is excellent, and the slowness of the movie, which upsets some viewers, is part of its great genius. This movie lets you treally feel a part of three peoples lives, and shows the irregularities and happenstance of life in a brutally honest way. This movie never pretends to be something it's not, which is exceptionally refreshing. a BIG thumbs up for this movie!

I so enjoyed watching this movie. Nothing formula about it, good interesting characters and some laughs. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I had the movie taped on my DVR for months and finally sat down one Saturday afternoon to watch it and what a pleasant surprise! Brilliantly written and acted character study of several quirky characters who find friendship in the oddest of places. Dwarf Peter Dinklage is delightful to watch! Bravo! Don't miss this one!

I enjoyed this movie a lot, and it was really neat to watch these people become friends and watch the characters deal with their own bitterness and frustrations about life. I thought it was very realistic--especially the awkwardness of making new friends or helping friends through tough times when they don't want your help. And it just makes you thankful if you do have good friends. A very uplifting and satisfying movie. There's some illegal drug use in the move portrayed as "everybody's doing it," and I didn't care for that message...but it was definitely a movie worth renting.

Refreshing in a quirky way! We are usually action fans but this slowed us down and entertained us... rent it!

Moves along slowly, and yet worth watching. No easy answers, which is why it ends up being a satisfying "slice of life" movie.

Promises but never delivers. Avoid this one.

The characters were wonderful and the acting was great but it never went anywhere. I loved The Terminal and Seinfeld which was compared to this movie but it didn't make the grade.
