Read More Have you ever sat down to watch a movie, knowing absolutely nothing about it, and not even particularly psyched to begin watching it, only to enjoy it so much that it becomes one of the few movies that you talk about for more than a day? That is station agent. I absolutely love this movie and I can't even tell you why. It might even be just the one line when Fin says "OK" and lets Joe sit with him to watch the trains. The acting was great the scenery made me homesick for Kentucky summer days. I was caught up in the world of these characters and could have stayed another hour or two with them. It is rare to see a film that makes you so aware of the everyday beauty of being human. All of the cast should be commended for their great perfomances. Yeah, it's slower than the typical hollywood blockbuster, no effects, no explosions, no intricate plot--just an interesting setting, a good sense of humanity,some interesting characters and their interactions/realtionships. I did not find it slow at all, rather involving like a good book. The acting was first rate and charming, the wit was clever, and the SOUL of the film was HUGE. Like many very good "indy" films of recent years, it does not placate us with a typical end.....it is life after all and life doesn't often make everything tidy.
