Rather fun Thanksgiving movie. Has some rough spots and slow at times but is funny and mirrors some of our own idiosycracies.

I watched this film last year around Thanksgiving and rated it 4-1/2 stars. I watched it again this Thanksgiving and upped the rating to 5 stars - I don't have many 5-star movies in my library. The memory I had from the first viewing was merely the plot and how I loved the ending. The second time I enjoyed the humor and payed more attention to the dialogues. This is a sleeper Thanksgiving classic waiting to happen. I wish the world knew about this film and showed it on TV!!!!!!

One of the best movies I saw in 2004. Painful, but honest look at family issues from mother-daughter battles to sibling rivalry.

A radical counterculture type young lady, with very risky behavior, has the family over for dinner. Naturally she can't cook. A family's nightmare. Not funny.
