This movie is campy and provocative, but oh so fun! A must see for anyone who misses the old style of moviemaking and glamourous stars.

This is probably one of the best gay interest movies out there, there are so many fun and campy scenes/dialogues/cast members... Natasha Lyonne, Jason Priestly... amazing cast. And the grand diva Charles Busch brings to life this character like no one else could. The changes in pitch and tones reminiscent of famous older classic movies with stars like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Rent it - you'll truly enjoy it if your into this genre.

It is hard to say what is worst - the writing, the acting or the directing. What is amazing is that this was from a stage play so there should have been some inclination of how bad this is. IT IS NOT BAD FUNNY OR CAMPY FUNNY. The lead performer is in drag and I imagine that after their performances the rest of the cast wishes they had been disguised too. Even Jason Priestly, while never an Olivier, doesn't benefit from his years of experience, and ends up delivering some of the worst acting in the film. It has been said that an actor is only as good as his lines. That might be an explanation. It seemed there was a (failed) effort to be clever and glib. The dialogue was forced, contrived and mostly drivel. The directing was on par with the writing and acting. I kept thinking it would get better. ( I mistakenly kept thinking it couldn't get worse) My biggest regret of this film is that I woke up when I started to nod off.

They were obviously being campy and "acting" badly. I know they can act better than this. They were trying to be funny. It was not funny. Nothing in this was good. There are movies that are campy on purpose and it works, like Raising Arizona. And there are movies that are being earnest and are actually campy and it is good like Plan 9 from Outer Space or Glenn or Glenda. But this one tries WAY too hard to be goofy and just totally misses. Painful to watch.

This has got to be the most god awefull movie , I have ever seen ...I kept watching it in the same way that you would watch a train wreck , while it was happening ..I just cant believe how someone would actually finance this movie ..The acting was campy , almost unbelieveably awefull and poor Jason Presley ..I hope that he still has a career after this movie . Dont waste your time , unless you like awefull or just stupid movies .
