Read More This made for TV movie was the single best 20 hours of television I have watched in a very long time. Three generations of families stories are told so completely that if you fail to identify with at least one of the characters in this series you need to seek professional help. It leaves you wondering and maybe even hoping for life somewhere else in the universe besides here on Earth. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Accurate UFO depictions compared to objects one of us saw years ago; fun to see similar movements of UFOs in a show. Pacing fun: it plays like a book reads. Many red herrings in the story. We watched the ten shows within three weeks. Enjoyed the pace, the characters, corny or not. The ending was not what we expected; leads one to think there would be more episodes. We did discuss the shows. We do not watch much TV otherwise: boring. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This was gripping for my whole family and we could hardly wait for the next disc. It is not a typical alien movie in that it is not about evil aliens. Spielberg once again has made a winner. Read More This is an excellent miniseries - especially if you like Dakota Fanning. While some of the supporting actors may be a little weaker, the various plot lines all carry over nicely from one episode to the next. The only plot issue that I had difficulty with is one of logic. If little Dakota Fanning is the single result of a planned generational breeding program to take both the spindly grey aliens and human population up to the next level -- with whom is she going to produce offspring? The movie ends with her smiling bravely as she's "taken" aboard the ship. To really make sense, there ought to have been at least an allusion to another breeding program going on someplace else. However, all in all, the miniseries was fun and engaging. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
