Despite BBO's heading containing the words 'original italian,' the disc we received was the North American release, which did not include the original italian track. Don't get me wrong: recording the english-speaking cast was a good move as this is a children's movie and some of those little guys and gals can't read as well as us grown folks (plus they do as good a job as could have been done). However, without the option of hearing the script as the actors performed it, one essentially misses half the performance.

What a cute little movie! You can detect elements of a true fairy-tale as Pinoccio goes out into the world, makes mistakes, learns lessons. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the Blue Fairy's coachman/poodle-man is sometimes a little too mystical for me.
