One of the all time best sport movies, but you don't have to be baseball fan to like this movie. Very funny.

JUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTT A BIT OUTSIDE!! AWESOME MOVIE, i am a huge sports fan i must say, and love this movie, haven't seen it in about 5 years til last weekend, and i must say i have much more of an appreciation for it now. obviously not an oscar nominee, but a good comedy. makes me remember the good comedies from a few years ago rather than the junk they put out now.

Even after all these years I still love Bob. He is so sarcastic. With the recent commerical using parts of this movie my teen son even asked to rent it.

Hello Wesley Snipes, this is one of his earlier works, like his 6th movie at the time. I thought this was a good movie, but I thought the second one was a lot better. It had some funny parts, but this seemed to be more of a serious movie with a side note of romance. I forgot that this one wasn't as much of a comedy movie. It is still a good one to watch every now and then, but I prefer the second one.

It harkens back to the days when the Indians were atrocious and still is quite funny with its collection of characters.

The opening shots of Cleveland are stunning; if you are interested in the Hulett unloaders, you will seem them at work here. Sure, the interior stadium scenes were shot in Milwaukee, but the exterior was my home town. The movie is a fun ensemble comedy that wears well. I, and many Clevelanders have a particular affection for it since when it came out, the Tribe was hapless, to say the least. People in the theatre would applaud and cheer when the movie team won as if it were a real game! Look for Pete Vukovich, retired major leaguer, in a bit role as a bruiser with a bat. All the casting is great from bits to the leads.
