The movie unfolded like a wonderful book, with each chapter revealing alittle more about the fasinating characters. There was great character development, such as Myles past that explained his anger, Jesse's zest for tasting life, and Whinny's curiosity with the forest beyond her gates. The movie was thought provoking as to whether living forever is desirable or not. Great family movie. Enjoy.

I enjoyed this and was glad my 9-yr old daughter could watch it with me. Was a little slow the first 5-10 minutes, but got very interesting. Good food-for-thought about deciding what one wants out of life.

This is a very cute and clean movie for the kids. My daughter had read the book and it was fun to watch the movie. I love Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls. She is a great actress.

I can certainly appreciate how pre-teens might enjoy "Tuck Everlasting", but this adult found it embarrassingly sappy, poorly acted and lacking in both drama and passion. In particular, William Hurt dons a strange (Welsh?) accent, and the rest of the cast give strange and occasionally wooden performances. There are those who say that the book is well written, thoughtful and full of deep, philosophical meaning, but the filmed version comes across as pompous and superficial. As evidenced by the bonus feature, "Lessons of Tuck", this is the case of a film that takes itself too way seriously.

In a time when you've just got to preview a film before you can enjoy it with the entire family this one is a welcome change. This is a safe film though some MAY find some elements a tad provacative nothing is graphic or too mature. There is some violence but it's really mild especially when compared with most films. Sissy Spacek and William Hurt simply shine as always. Watching their performance is enough reason alone to view this film. I've not read the book, but intend to, though I have no doubt it reasonably adhere's to it from what I have read and heard. The only down-side is this may be more of a female film than a man's. Men with a certain sensativity and gentleness will likely enjoy it too, though, bare in mind this is no action backed gorefest even in the most remote sense.

I liked the book a lot better, but the movie was relatively entertaining. My nine year old daughter enjoyed the movie.

Nice story and a way to spend an evening. Nothing earth shattering just good entertainment and a good love story.

For those younger viewers looking for Cliff Notes or trying to avoid reading the book, this will serve well. When you watch, make sure to turn on the commentary on plot elements.
