Whether you have lived with several other people as a young adult or not - this endearing film will make you either reminisce wistfully or wish distinctly that you had. The characters are unforgettable, and this film will leave you with the sense of both the melancholy that the protagonist is feeling when departing from his new-found friends in Barcelona, as well as the exuberant sense of finding himself, after all was said and done - and he really did fit more into his one year abroad than most people fit into a decade of their quiet lives back home.

Funny, different, original, and real; good acting; there is nothing to "throw away" in this movie.

They sure packed a lot of people in a single apartment! I don't think in real life they would have got on so well. It was an entertaining and well acted film. A delightful two hours.

It was a bit long but very good character development. Very funny in parts and we enjoyed it. They could have shorten it by leaving the parts with the mother out.

A fine 'coming to enlightment' film with all that's good in life if you want to live it...and only as the French can do it...solid movie making

After much anticipation to see this movie, I was quite disappointed. It was rather slow and long. Got a few laughs and joys out of it...but definitely not a movie I would brag about.
