This was an extraordinary piece of film making. First off the women interviewed were all top notch actresses & wonderfully candid. Roseanna Arquette did a masterful job of putting them at ease & bringing out their true selves & so many interesting conversations. You feel as if you know each of them personally. Just a great insight into women in general & life as well.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah -- a bunch of hugely rich & famous women grousing about the ill treatment of the "industry" to them as females & the woes of balancing a high-paying job & motherhood. The title is grossly misleading...there is no "search" -- but yes, an interview when Winger is easily "found" -- it's some inner-searching kind of thing which frankly disgusted me. How is it that the rich & famous find so many things to digress & gripe about? I did like Whoopi's attitude -- no self-pity there. Go Whoopi!

...rosanna arquette is nervous about being 40 plus in hollywood (or anywhere...in this society.) even though it is a (i say this lightly) documentary, it has no structure. a good filmmaker knows it needs to have structure. she raises the same points with every celebrity. it isn't a documentary film, it it a skipping record.

The fact that we “found” Winger within the first hour was the biggest let down of the film. On the other end of the spectrum, the high point is when Arquette comes clean and actually says that she has made some films “just to pay the bills”. Always good to hear that the leader of this documentary possibly could be making this very film just to “pay the bills”. I lost a lot of credibility to Rosanna after she said this. The better title for this film should have been, Searching for Jane Fonda. The fact that she is in this movie longer than Debra Winger only proves that Rosanna had no clue what she was doing. She led us on a very curvy road with several bumps that eventually placed us in the middle of nowhere. Avoid this film at all costs, especially if you are a woman interested in the Hollywood scene. Searching for Debra Winger will only prove that documentaries can be scripted.
