The crime caper is a bit thin, and Duvall directing Duvall results in a few riffs where he is a bit too full of himself -- material that might otherwise have been left on the cutting room floor. This is a very well done movie with surprisingly good performances. The dialogue is so real it's as if you're listening to conversation, not acting or written rehearshed words. Duvall is excellent and the supporting cast is above average. Yes, it's slow is parts. Do you need racing cars and shooting and bombs to be entertained? The dancing is graceful, interesting, sexy & beautiful. My wife & I thought the film was way better than we expected. I can promise that it's better than previous reviewers here state. Unless you want to learn how to do the tango, then by all means rent it.
