This movie really shocked me with the reality of life as an Amish teenager. I had knew about Rumspringa but didn't understand the chaos that this ensues. It was like watching children jump head-first into the deep-end of the pool when they've barely taken off their water wings. It was fascinating to follow the stories of these kids and to see where their Rumspringas lead them.

After watching the movie "Sex Drive", I felt compelled to delve into the world of the Amish teenager a little more. I was quite surprised to see that they were fairly accurately portrayed in such a raunchy, low-brow (but hilarious) movie such as "Sex Drive". It has moments where it seems really dated (i.e. all of the boys wearing those fuzzy Kangol hats) but it still gave a pretty detailed view into this foreign culture.

i learned a lot about the amish in this movie. i always wondered why do they all have long beards-its a sign of marriage,because they do not wear rings.i never heard that they allow their children to make the choice to leave their community. a real eye opener and i wanted to know more.i wish i could have seen the lives of people after joining the church.
