The same can be said for the movie and I think the director leaves it up to the viewer Ricci plays a sorority girl from a wealthy family that risks losing her family, sorority life and seemingly perfect boyfriend when she falls in love with a young "retarted" man played by Hank Harris. Amy Adams as the domineering sorority house sister is spot on. Good performances all around in this strange little indy. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I thought that this would be a great movie, the story sounded so nice, how wrong I was. They made this movie about a whiny girl who falls in love with an extremely sheltered mentally challenged boy. Which was bad enough, but then at the end she acts as if she's just discovered that he's mentally challenged and realizes she's made a huge mistake.
DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! IT WAS TERRIBLE! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This was a strange movie from out outset, and little overdone with so many things going on, but it was incredibly funny. Imagine the sort of movie in which Christina Ricci plays the ideal blonde Pasadena sorority girl - you know there's some crazy twist coming up. This is more of a coming-of-age and going into the world story than the "unconventional romance" it was marketed as. I would agree that not everyone would appreciate it, but the only people I'd advise to steer clear of this flick are stodgy elitists who can't laugh at the tribulations of real life that bring out the best in these characters. I wasn't so sure that I was going to like it, but it is original. Unlike so many movies today it is definately in a genre of its own. I would rent it if you are looking for an unusual movie. The acting is not the best and the story is out there, but it is a good flick. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
