I couldn't watch this movie all of the way through the first time because it hit too close to home. Insightful. Dramatic. Be prepared to have some emotions come up if you are that type of person.

I was expecting to hate this movie. I thought it was going to be a dreary, sad movie that played the tired old "mommy Dearest" card badly. I was very much mistaken. It was a sweet, warm movie. There were serious themes, but they were treated with respect, and were not overdone. The movie takes us on mother and daughter's journey to reach an understanding of each other, and it is done with a warm, funny, mostly light-hearted touch. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I remembered my own mother fondly. The best way to sum this movie up is to say it's really just like life--there are sad times, but there are also good, wonderful times we wouldn't want to miss.

Both my husbanf and I liked this movie a lot, though he did say it was a "chick-flick". It was a delight!

I enjoyed this movie. This was funny, sad, moving and revealing. Ashley Judd and Ellen Burstyn were wonderful playing the same character at different ages. Sandra Bullock mimicked their charateristics. You can relate to this movie when looking back on incidents in your life and begin to wonder why you have developed certain traits. This was my second time watching this movie and I am not a big fan of Sandra Bullock. After hearing the comments about how nice and caring she is in real life, I am having second thoughts about her. Good girlfriends night to watch movie.

Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood was an ok movie BUT I'm sure glad that I read the book first. This was a very loose interpretation of the book.

The only reason I gave this movie a star is because Ashley Judd takes her shirt off. Otherwise, the movie was awful.

I enjoyed this movie as I am a fan of Sandra Bullock. The relationship she has with her mother can be related to alot of other peoples lives. We all know how some mothers can be so controling and we still hate to disappoint them but we love them with all our heart. The older ladies are well established actresses who put up with their friends' strange behavior. Ashley Judd did a great job portraying Sandra Bullocks young mother.

I had so looked forward to see this movie - then I was disappointed. Most of the 'good stuff' was in the trailers.
