Aren't zombies supposed to be scary? The ones in this movie were laughable. And the acting was terrible. But the worst part of the movie was the dialogue. The characters were constantly explaining what was going on to each other, as it was happenning in front of them. It reminded me of an old Scooby Doo cartoon. If I didn't know better, I would have thought this movie was a spoof of horror movies.

I love this movie. P. S. Anderson is definitely in one of my favs also considering his other movies he has participated in such as Pandorum. Resident Evil was not as gory as I thought it would be, the acting is wonderful especially Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez. The story line is terrific, awesome twist. A definite buy.

The best part of this movie was the story. It was well told in an artistic way. They didn't do the usual stupid action movie cheese such as, "let's split up" when they are at risk from monsters attacking them when alone. Everything in the movie, from what i could tell by the first viewing was motivate and very intense and creepy - they did a great job of hiding the gore to give a Hitchcock style of the fear of the unknown. Great movie.
