It was mostly story, so it was interesting to watch, although I played the game so I know most of the background. It was a nice watch to see the story in less than 2 hours then how long it took to play the game. Good movie and a great story. I like the laser scene, that was great. Had me jumping several times. I saw this one in the Theater as well as Resident Evil 2 and can't wait for 3 to come out. :) It is a 4 star all the way maybe even 4 1/2 but got long in a few places. ( a few of those mercs you really wanted to survive) It was definitely worth full price in the Theater and is a must have if your a Sci Fi fan or love those zombie flicks it has it all. Read More Besides maybe the Super Mario Bros. movie, this could quite possibly be the worst adaption of a video game into a movie in history. They don't even have the same main characters. Besides the Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City, and the T-Virus, there is absolutely nothing the same. Where's the Spencer Mansion? Where's Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine? What about Barry and Albert Wesker? It wouldn't bother me so much to throw out an entire story and make your own if the new one was actually good. But to make it into a stupid corny action movie for no reason? I doubt if this guy has even played Resident Evil. Sure, everyone can make fun of video games and call them stupid, but this is one exception where the game not only came first, but is also better than the movie.
